Everything you need to know about your dinner

Our aim is to give you a night off – not just from cooking but also from any decision-making. We carefully curate our menus so you get just that – a nourishing and balanced meal to get you ready for the weekend. Our DabbaDrop meals happily feed two people and always consist of a delicious dal, 1 veggie curry, 1 seasonal veg stir-fry, seasoned rice and 2 rotis.

Your food is ready to eat but if you'd like to save it for another day it can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.

To reheat, simply place the tins directly in the oven or decant to reheat in a microwave. Please don't reheat the metal tins in the microwave.

Your food was prepared with fresh ingredients that we found at the market or had delivered by one of our trusted suppliers.

We cook everything from scratch so we have complete control over what goes into each and every dish.

If you have allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know and we can try and adapt to your needs wherever possible.

Our weekly changing menu means that you will never have the same two menus in a month and as we’re on a mission to feed you more veg, we’ll be adding some delicious, seasonal vegetables every time a menu returns Do let us know if you have any favourite Indian dishes or any seasonal veg you’d like to see on our menu and we’ll try to get it in! What’s a Dabba?

GRV08861 copy-1-2.JPG

Dabba is Hindi for box, a stainless steel, reusable tiffinbox used to ferry home-cooked meals across the city of Mumbai.

Our dabbas are authentic and sourced directly from Mumbai, where it is a part of everyday life. They are made from high-quality, food-grade stainless steel and are plastic and BPA-free, so you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals.

Like in Mumbai, our Dabba meals are freshly made and carefully put together, satisfying all the tastes, and keeping both belly and brain happy.

DabbaDrop follows this century-old Indian tradition to bring you ready-to-eat meals – no cooking, no deciding what to order, no plastic takeaway boxes. Just a guilt-free, good-for-you curry, on your table, in time for dinner, on Friday night.

We charge a one-off £15 for your reusable dabba, this is added to your order (as a set-up fee) for ease when you choose your subscription plan.

We swap your old dabba for a new one every time we do a DabbaDrop, so please don't get rid of your tiffins. Some customers use theirs as a rad lunchbox in-between DabbaDrops.

Dabba Dos and Don’ts

DO wash your dabba before returning to us – simply pop it in the dishwasher or handwash with your regular dish soap.

We’re afraid if your dabba breaks while it’s in your possession, you will have to buy a new one.
